If I knew then what I know now ~
The things I would have done differently:

It is important to note that I did not deviate from the plans very much and what structural changes I have made work fine.

It is little stuff that I somewhat regret. I should have used a glossy paint. The satin finish is almost impossible to clean. Also, after my sailing adventures in Phoenix, I believe the weekender is a more stable boat with a bit wider beam. It isn't all that tippy as it is drawn, but very stable with a wider beam.

I would have finished the interior before turning her and glassing. I still haven't finished the interior but it is on my list of things to do. I would have used fewer portholes and not placed them on the curve of the cabin.

I should have made my own blocks.
The Harken blocks don't look salty, nor are they so significantly smoother that homemade blocks would not have been a better choice.

Many builders make their own blocks and deadeyes. The overall look achieved is far saltier but, I tried to compensate by making stay socks.

I lost the hubs on a trip to Phoenix and was forced to replace the whole hub. The springs were a different size and required new hangers. Also, the boom was fixed and the stay socks were made.
