Morgaine

 

Morgaine is a Stevensons' designed gaff rigged sailboat. She was built according to the plans with very few modifications. I started the project in the Spring of 2004 and finished building in the Summer of 2005. She was built using marine grade plywood and clear pine. For a more detailed account of her build I have put together a few pages that outline the process.

Launched in September 2005 at Quail Lake just outside St. George, Utah, Morgaine has since sailed with many other Weekenders in Utah, Nevada, and Arizona. The Stevensons' designed Weekender is a great first time boat project. In appreciation of the help and support I found online from other builders, I have created  these pages to detail not only Morgaine's build but also the adventures I have had in her.
